RhinoScript.org – bringing open source to architecture & design

Part of project "Blurring Structures" at University of Kassel, Germany, faculty of architecture, departement of structural design (Prof. Grohmann)
This project deals with trimmed NURBS surfaces and possibilities to populate them with parametrical modules. The shown object consists of 4 x 4 x 7 instances of a knot module populating a stack of six trimmed surfaces. The individual connections between the knots are dimensioned using a RhinoScript-RSTAB-Interface that we developed during the project.
The generating script contains all work steps so that the object could be 3d printed without any manual editing.
