  joinCurves returns an array and extrudeCurveStraight needs an object ID (i.e. a string). That's why you get an error.

  And
  I can't obtain the solid with extrude
  Rhino.ExtrudeCurveStraight str_gear, Array(0.0,0.0,0.0), Array(0.0, 0.0, dbl_ep)
